We got things loaded on the boat, pumped out our holding tanks, filled up our fuel and water tanks, and were ready to get underway around noon time. Hell's Gate dumped us out into the Ogeechee River. We actually were on top of this observation tower looking across the ICW at Jupiter Island.....never thought that we would be headed south this way! And here is our new home off in the distance as we turn into the narrow channel into our docks. We ended up at Lightkeeper's Marina in a very nice manmade harbor at MM 346. Wednesday 14 Oct, HHN, boat winterizing day 14: After the hoses-removing marathon yesterday, this morning I head into Annapolis with 3 objectives: get replacement hoses made up, deposit sails into a re-sell center, and visit Annapolis Rigging Company. I was up every few hours, checking to see if we were dragging anchor. We got back to the marina at noon time and decided to motor over to Pirates Cove, which is about a 30 minute trip. We had to wait about 10 minutes for an opening and almost rain aground one more time as we were maneuvering against the current while waiting for the opening. We are going to anchor here shortly.
